Loaves of bread cooling in their tins on a bakery rack

POS for bakeries and pastry shops

The bakery POS for the counter, the tray count and the six-in-the-morning queue

Brindola is a POS for bakeries and pastry shops that sells across a counter (by the piece, by the box and by the order for Saturday), with a tray count that follows every sale and a terminal that opens at six whether the internet is up or not.

What a bakery needs from its terminal

A grid for the counter, not a menu for a table

Products in nested categories (breads, viennoiserie, cakes) with photos on the tiles so a new cashier finds the seeded rye in one tap.

Trays that count down

A tray of forty rolls sells one at a time and the count follows; a box of six sells six. Lots and expiry are on the stock unit, so nobody has to remember which loaf is yesterday's.

Receipts and company invoices from the same terminal

A café that buys forty croissants every morning gets an invoice in its company name with its tax number, printed on the roll or on A4.

A number for the order, a board for the wait

Coffee and a warmed sandwich get a number; the pickup board shows it when it is ready. The bread is handed over the counter as it always was.

A drawer that reconciles

Cash-heavy mornings, contactless afternoons. X at the shift change, Z at close, over-and-short counted, cash rounded the way your country rounds it.

Open at six, internet or not

The terminal, the printer and the drawer are on the shop's own network. The first sale of the day does not wait for anyone's cloud to wake up.

Κύπρος

Bakeries in Cyprus

A bakery in Paphos that supplies four cafés each morning invoices each one with its VAT number, and sells the rest across the counter.

A Saturday at the counter, through Brindola

One counter terminal with a guest display, a second terminal for the weekend, a small café corner with a coffee machine and a pickup board.

  1. The trays go out at six

The morning's bake is entered as a delivery from the oven: forty rolls, twenty croissants, eight loaves. The counts are live on the terminal.

  2. The queue moves

Two rolls, one loaf, a coffee. The bread is bagged and handed over; the coffee gets a number and goes to the café screen. Card tapped, receipt printed, next.

  3. The café order

The café next door collects its standing forty croissants. Rung up against the café's customer record, an invoice in its company name printed on A4, the tray count drops by forty.

  4. The last croissant

The count reaches zero and the terminal says so. There is one on the plate; the cashier sells it anyway, because a bakery terminal that refuses a sale is the wrong terminal.

  5. The close

Z report per drawer, a list of what was left on the trays for the markdown decision, and a dish analysis that says the seeded rye sells out by ten every Saturday.

Which plan fits a bakery

Essentials for one counter terminal: catalog, register, receipts, payments, invoices and the close, offline. Plus for a second terminal, the café screen and the pickup board, a self-service kiosk for the café corner, or a second shop.

Questions bakeries ask

Does it sell by weight?

Yes. Loaves, pastries and cut cake are sold by the piece, by the pack or by weight. The amount comes from a scale-printed label, a USB scale at the counter or the keypad, and the price follows it.

Can it take orders for a date, like a birthday cake for Saturday?

A pre-order is an order with a customer and a note, paid or unpaid, and it appears in the day's list on the day. A calendar view of the week's cakes is not a feature we sell yet.

Can two shops share one product list?

Yes. Each shop runs its own main device with its own stock and its own close; the catalog can be shared through a backoffice on the Enterprise plan, or kept per shop.

What about the barcode on packaged goods?

Products carry barcodes, and a scanner at the counter finds the product the way a tap on the grid does.

Other kinds of venue

POS for coffee shops and cafés

Coffee shops

Brindola is a POS for coffee shops and cafés that takes the morning rush at the counter: drinks with their sizes and milks, the pastry case, a name or a number for pickup. It runs on a terminal that keeps working when the internet does not.

POS for takeaways and quick-service counters

Takeaway counters

Brindola is a POS for takeaways, quick-service counters and fast-food shops that takes an order in seconds, sends it to the kitchen screen, shows its number on a board when it is ready and takes the walk-in, phone and platform queues on one screen. Nothing at the counter depends on the internet.

POS for restaurants

Restaurants

Brindola is a restaurant POS that runs a full table-service operation on the venue's own hardware and network: every terminal, the floor plan, the kitchen screens, the payments and the close. A dead line changes nothing on the floor.
