Install Brindola

Install on the computer that will stay in the venue and remain available throughout service. It will hold the venue’s records and serve any paired devices.
Install the main device
Section titled “Install the main device”- Open the download page and choose the package for your operating system and processor.
- Run the installer. On Linux, make an AppImage executable before opening it.
- Launch Brindola and choose the interface language.
- Follow First-run questions to create the venue, or use the backoffice pairing option if your organisation supplied one.
- Sign in and check the venue name, currency and business date before entering a sale.
Use the download page to check which installers are currently available. A mobile companion joins a venue; the main device is a desktop computer. Keep it awake while other screens need it.
Adding another screen
Section titled “Adding another screen”Create the venue once. A kitchen screen or order-taking device joins the existing venue through device pairing. Starting a new venue on each machine creates separate records.
Updating safely
Section titled “Updating safely”Check the version in About and review the update offered by the app. Arrange the restart between services and make sure a recent backup is available. After restart, confirm sign-in, a printer test and the connection from a paired screen.
Keep the main device and companions on compatible releases. When documentation for older releases is available, use the version picker to read the guide for your installed version.
If the app does not open
Section titled “If the app does not open”Check that the download matches your processor and operating system. Note the exact installer filename and error for support. For an existing venue, preserve its data directory before reinstalling or changing machines; see Recovery.
