Aggregator order intake
delivery platform integration · order bridge · marketplace orders
Aggregator order intake is the path by which orders placed on a delivery platform such as Wolt, Bolt Food or Glovo arrive inside the venue's POS as ordinary orders, instead of being read off a platform tablet and typed in again by hand.
The tablet wall
Without intake, each platform gives the venue a tablet. Orders are accepted on the tablet, re-typed into the terminal so the kitchen sees them and the day's numbers include them, and reconciled at the end from two systems. The errors are in the re-typing and the reconciliation.
What an integration does
The platform sends the order to an integrator's service; the service turns it into an order in the POS with the platform's reference, accepts it back with a prep time, tells the platform when it is ready, and records cancellations. The kitchen sees one queue. The close counts the platform as a channel, with the platform's own total as the tender.
Who may integrate
Platforms open their POS integration to registered integrators, not to every venue. A vendor registers once and its venues connect through it. A platform that is not connected is not integrated, whatever a brochure says.
How Brindola does it
Brindola's order bridge connects to Bolt Food and Glovo today; Wolt, Deliveroo, Uber Eats, talabat, foodpanda and foodora are coming soon. Orders land on the kitchen screen beside the dining room's, are accepted with a prep time in one tap, print a bag slip on bump, and close against the platform's total. A platform in a given market is named on that country's page, with *coming soon* beside it until it is live.
