Brindola vs CompuCash

CompuCash or Brindola for a restaurant in Estonia

CompuCash is Ektaco's cloud POS from Tallinn, sold to restaurants, shops and leisure venues, with Bolt Food and Wolt, Merit and Directo accounting, kiosks and loyalty. Brindola runs the whole service on a device in your venue, keeps going with the internet down, and costs one flat price per venue with no share of your card payments.

In short

  • Orders, kitchen screens, payments and the close keep running in the venue however long the line is down.
  • A flat €49 or €99 a month per venue, with no percentage of your card payments on any plan.
  • Your tickets and guests stay in a file in your own building; CompuCash is entirely cloud-based.
  • Several brands from one kitchen, and Estonia's five-cent cash rounding, are built in.
  • CompuCash is ahead on Merit and Directo, loyalty, QR ordering, phone support and thirty years of local references.

Why venues choose Brindola over CompuCash

The service does not stop when the line does

One device in your venue serves every terminal, kitchen screen and printer over your own network. When the router dies, orders, payments and the close carry on, for as long as the outage lasts.

Several brands from one kitchen

Separate brand tabs and catalogs, revenue by brand and channel, and one order that can carry two brands.

No percentage of your card payments

Every Brindola plan is a flat price per venue. CompuCash's €0 plan charges 1.49 % on card payments, which grows with every busy month.

Your tickets stay in your venue

Tickets, guests, payments and margins live in one file on hardware you own. Only the day's totals leave, and only to a backoffice you connect.

The Estonian cash rule, built in

Cash totals round to five cents and card payments stay exact, with the rounding on its own line, as the law has required since 2025.

Estonian, English or Russian on each device

The application is in Estonian, and each member of staff can work in English or Russian instead, with the receipt language set on its own.

What CompuCash has that Brindola doesn't

Thirty years in Tallinn, and named restaurants
Ektaco names 180 degrees, OKO, Uulits, Reval Café and Baltic Restaurants on the Saaremaa ferries among its references. Brindola has no venue to point to yet.
Merit and Directo
Sales go to the accounting systems Estonian bookkeepers use, and supplier invoices are imported with AI.
Support in three languages
By phone, email and chat, Mon–Fri 9–17, and around the clock on Enterprise.
Loyalty, gift cards and marketing
A wallet loyalty card, gift cards, campaigns and demand forecasting. Brindola keeps customer records but has no loyalty programme.
QR and web ordering
Guests scan, order and pay on their own phones. Brindola's kiosk takes the order and the guest pays at the counter.
A terminal with the POS, and a €0 start
The payment terminal comes with the system, and the New business plan starts at €0 a month, paid through its share of card payments.
iPad, and a manager app
CompuCash runs on Windows, iPads, Android tablets and all-in-one terminals, and a manager app changes prices from a phone. Brindola's phone and tablet app is on Android.

Choose CompuCash if…

…your bookkeeper lives in Merit or Directo, you want loyalty, gift cards and QR ordering, support by phone in three languages, iPads at the counter, or a €0 start paid for by a share of card payments.
