Refunds, voids and corrections
Start from the original order and establish whether its items were sent and whether payment was collected. Those two facts determine the appropriate correction.
| What happened | Use the appropriate flow |
|---|---|
| An unsent item was added by mistake | Remove the pending line |
| The kitchen received an item that is no longer wanted | Void it with the required reason and approval |
| Money must be returned after settlement | Refund against the original transaction |
| A settled order needs to be reopened for further correction | Use the supported reopen flow and review the resulting balance |
| Only another paper copy is needed | Reprint the receipt |
Make the correction
Section titled “Make the correction”- Find the order by its business date and identity.
- Check the items, payment history and current balance.
- Choose the correction and read its effect before confirming.
- Enter the reason and obtain approval where required.
- Check the new order balance and any receipt, kitchen or stock consequence.
A corrected line and its payment must agree. Returning money alone does not explain that an item was cancelled; changing an item alone does not return money to the customer.
Card refunds
Section titled “Card refunds”Use the process supported by the terminal or payment provider and reconcile its result with Brindola. Recording a refund in Brindola is not evidence that a standalone bank terminal returned the funds. If the result is uncertain, investigate the original transaction reference before retrying.
Kitchen and stock
Section titled “Kitchen and stock”Confirm that the kitchen sees the cancellation. Review tracked stock after a reopen or refund when the disposition of the goods matters: an item returned to stock and a prepared meal discarded are different events.
Documents already issued
Section titled “Documents already issued”For a country document already sent to an authority, use its correction or cancellation workflow. Editing a customer record or printing another receipt does not cancel an issued tax invoice. See RS.ge documents.
