Use this guide for a venue operating in Luxembourg. Complete the shared first-run setup, then review the local decisions below.
| Foundation | Review in Settings → Identity |

| Country | Luxembourg |
| Local currency | EUR; confirm the venue’s actual selling currency |
| Time zone | Europe/Luxembourg |
| Working language | French, German or English as appropriate; language does not choose tax rules |
Country and language are separate
Section titled “Country and language are separate”A German-language interface in a Luxembourg venue still uses Luxembourg’s tax setup. Do not copy German rates or fiscal instructions from a German-language example. Set the venue country explicitly and configure the business’s own registration details.
Luxembourg’s government guide describes the scope of VAT, rate categories and invoice duties. Use its local categories when reviewing the catalog with the accountant. Guichet.lu VAT guidance.
Receipts and business customers
Section titled “Receipts and business customers”Check the legal name, address and VAT identifier before printing. For a company sale, attach the intended customer and preview its document. Keep multilingual product names recognisable to staff and customers without changing the tax category each product uses.
A receipt containing food, drinks, discounts and charges is a useful rehearsal because it checks more than a single-item sale. Inspect its per-rate breakdown and totals on paper.
Payments and delivery
Section titled “Payments and delivery”Configure the bank terminal actually installed at the venue. A named payment option records the method; integrated authorisation requires the appropriate driver and setup.
The Luxembourg offering lists Wolt through the order intake add-on, coming soon. No platform is live there yet. Once it is, verify the platform venue and catalog mapping before accepting orders. Other platform names in the general handbook do not establish local availability.
Close and preserve the records
Section titled “Close and preserve the records”Use the configured business date when preparing the close for accounting. Keep full local records backed up even if a central office receives only the daily aggregate. Review the exact invoice requirements for your supplies in the official guidance when the business or product mix changes.
Official guidance review
Section titled “Official guidance review”Sources linked above were reviewed on 2026-09-13. These are setup instructions, not a substitute for confirming the treatment of your business’s specific supplies. Recheck the authority’s guidance when tax or document requirements change.
Continue with the opening checklist and register close.
