A bartender working behind a long wooden bar with green stools and a lit back bar

POS for bars and pubs

The bar POS built for tabs, rounds and a night that ends after midnight

Brindola is a POS for bars and pubs that keeps open tabs, pours by the round, splits the bill at two in the morning and still books it to the right trading day. It runs on hardware behind your own bar and does not depend on the internet.

What a bar needs from its terminal

Tabs by name, cards held or not

Open a tab on a name, add to it from any terminal behind the bar, close it when they leave. Guests at the counter keep their own tabs at the same bar top.

The bar top is a table

Draw the counter with its stools on the plan. Several parties order at it and each keeps its bill; a table that moves to the terrace takes its tab with it.

Age checks that are recorded

An item with a minimum age asks once, records how it was checked, and asks again only if a later item sets a higher bar.

A bar screen, a kitchen screen

Cocktails route to the bar screen, the burger to the kitchen, and the pass sees both so the food and the drinks reach the table together.

Rounds, splits and the last card of the night

Split a tab by item or by amount across three cards and cash; tips on every one; the register knows the drawer to the coin.

A night that belongs to one day

Your trading day rolls over at the hour you set, so a tab closed at 02:00 is Friday's takings. Hours can run past midnight without the reports splitting the night in half.

Bars and wine bars in Georgia

A Tbilisi wine bar sells a qvevri saperavi by the glass and the bottle, keeps a tab open until two, and closes the night on one register report.

A Friday night, through Brindola

A bar with two terminals behind the counter, a screen for the bar, a small kitchen and a terrace. Last orders at one, doors at two.

  1. Tabs open

A name typed, a card held or not, the first round added. The second terminal sees the same tab, so whichever bartender is nearer takes the next round.

  2. The first spirit asks for ID

The item carries a minimum age; the terminal asks once and records the method. Beer at the same table does not ask again; a higher-age item later would.

  3. The kitchen and the bar run in parallel

Nachos go to the kitchen screen, the cocktails to the bar screen, and the pass groups them so the table gets both together. The cook who is out of wings taps the bell.

  4. The line goes down at midnight

Every terminal and screen is on the bar's own network. Cards continue on the terminals; tabs, tickets and the drawer never noticed.

  5. The 01:40 split

Six people, four cards, one wants their own drinks only. By item for them, by amount for the rest, tips on each. The tab still closes to Friday.

  6. The close at three

Z report over the whole night, over-and-short counted per drawer, tips by bartender. Full detail stays on the main device behind the bar.

Which plan fits a bar

Plus. Two terminals, a bar screen and a floor plan with the counter drawn on it are Plus features. A single-terminal bar with no screens runs on Essentials, trading day rollover included.

Questions bars ask

Can one tab be worked from two terminals?

Yes. A tab belongs to the bar, not to a terminal. Any paired terminal behind the counter adds to it, and every screen sees the change immediately.

What if a customer walks out on a tab?

The tab stays open with everything on it until a manager voids it with a reason, under their own login. It shows in the night's reports as a void with its reason, kept apart from discounts.

Does it handle happy hour?

Yes. A pricing rule can select a happy-hour price list when an order opens during the configured daypart. The order keeps that list when the time window ends, so an existing table is not repriced halfway through.

Can the bar run tabs and a restaurant floor at the same time?

Yes. The counter is drawn on the same plan as the tables. Revenue is reported by channel, so the bar and the floor are counted apart without being run apart.

Other kinds of venue

POS for restaurants

Restaurants

Brindola is a restaurant POS that runs a full table-service operation on the venue's own hardware and network: every terminal, the floor plan, the kitchen screens, the payments and the close. A dead line changes nothing on the floor.

POS for coffee shops and cafés

Coffee shops

Brindola is a POS for coffee shops and cafés that takes the morning rush at the counter: drinks with their sizes and milks, the pastry case, a name or a number for pickup. It runs on a terminal that keeps working when the internet does not.

POS for dark kitchens and virtual brands

Dark kitchens

Brindola is a POS for dark kitchens, cloud kitchens and virtual brands that runs several brands out of one kitchen, with separate menus and one kitchen screen. Orders for every brand from Bolt Food and Glovo land on that screen as ordinary tickets, brand by brand, with no platform tablets; Wolt is coming soon. It reports revenue by brand and by channel, and nothing depends on the internet except the orders arriving.
