A small shop's counter with an old counter scale weighing potatoes, wooden shelves of jars and crates of produce behind it

POS for shops, hardware stores and wine merchants

The shop POS that scans, counts the shelf and never refuses a sale

Brindola is a POS for shops: the hardware store, the wine merchant, the farm shop, the corner store. It rings up by barcode or by tile, keeps the stock count as a fact that follows every sale, delivery and stocktake, and keeps trading on your own machine when the internet does not.

What a shop needs from its terminal

Scan it, or tap it

A barcode finds the product; the unbarcoded things (a loaf, a bag, a cut length) sit on tiles in nested categories. Anything sold by weight takes its amount from a scale label, a USB scale or the keypad, priced per kilo or per 100 g. A new cashier is fast on the first shift.

A count that follows the sale

Receive a delivery in one batch with the lot and the reference, count the shelf in a stocktake, and watch the on-hand, reserved and available numbers move as orders open and settle.

Packs that deplete singles

A box of ten screws is one product that depletes ten of the single. Sell the box or the screw; the count is one count.

Company invoices from the terminal

The contractor who buys on account gets an invoice in the company's name with its tax number, on the roll or on A4, from the same sale.

A drawer that reconciles

Cash rounded the way your country rounds it, X at the shift change, Z at close, over-and-short counted per drawer.

The terminal opens whether the line is up or not

Catalog, counts and the register are on your own machine. Nothing on the sale path depends on a connection you do not control.

საქართველო

Shops in Georgia

A hardware store on the Tbilisi ring road invoices contractors through the RS.ge lane, prints a receipt for every screw, and counts a delivery in one batch.

A morning in a hardware store, through Brindola

One counter terminal with a scanner and a guest display, a second terminal for Saturdays, a shelf of a few thousand products.

  1. The delivery arrives at eight

Forty boxes of screws, twenty tins of paint, received in one batch with the supplier's reference and the lot. The counts are live on the terminal before the shop opens.

  2. The contractor at nine

Scans, tiles, a cut length typed by the metre. Rung up against his company's record, an A4 invoice with the tax number, the box of screws depleting ten singles.

  3. A count that is wrong

The shelf says eighteen tins, the terminal says twenty. A stocktake sets eighteen and records the shrinkage as a movement with a reason, not as a silent edit.

  4. The line drops at eleven

Nothing at the counter notices. Scanning, counts, card on the terminal, receipts. The backoffice gets the aggregate when the line returns.

  5. The close

Z report per drawer, the day's movements per product, and what is low on the shelf as a list for you to read. Nothing reorders by itself.

Which plan fits a shop

Essentials for one counter terminal with the catalog, the scanner, the register and receipts, offline. Plus when you want a second terminal, staff roles and the full reports; Enterprise for a chain on its own backoffice.

Questions shops ask

Does it sell by weight from a scale?

Yes. A product sold by weight takes its amount from a scale-printed label (the weight or the price in the barcode), from a USB scale at the terminal, or from a typed amount, and the price follows the amount to the gram. Where the law requires a certified system to price a sale from the scale, use the labels: the scale prices, the terminal scans.

Does it reorder from suppliers?

You can set reorder levels and use Purchasing to create supplier orders and receive partial deliveries. You review and issue each order; nothing is ordered automatically. Central purchasing across locations is planned.

Can it track lots and expiry?

Yes. A delivery carries its lot and its best-before date, and the Lots view estimates what is left of each on a first-expiry-first basis, labelled as the estimate it is.

How many products can it hold?

A few thousand comfortably on a small counter machine. A general store with tens of thousands is a shape we have measured and not yet built for; we will say when that changes.

Other kinds of venue

POS for hair salons, barbers and nail studios

Salons and barbers

Brindola is a POS for hair salons, barbers and nail studios that books a chair and a stylist in one entry, turns the booking into the bill when the client sits down, sells the retail shelf from the same terminal, and keeps the whole day on your own machine whether the internet is up or not.

POS for coffee shops and cafés

Coffee shops

Brindola is a POS for coffee shops and cafés that takes the morning rush at the counter: drinks with their sizes and milks, the pastry case, a name or a number for pickup. It runs on a terminal that keeps working when the internet does not.

POS for restaurants

Restaurants

Brindola is a restaurant POS that runs a full table-service operation on the venue's own hardware and network: every terminal, the floor plan, the kitchen screens, the payments and the close. A dead line changes nothing on the floor.
