Brindola vs Poster POS
Poster POS or Brindola for your restaurant
Poster POS is a cloud point-of-sale system for cafés, restaurants and small shops that runs on iPad, Android, Windows and Mac, from $26 a month billed annually, and by its own count is used in 27 000 locations. Brindola runs the whole venue on a device you own, is priced per venue rather than per register, and keeps every screen working with the internet down.
In short
- With the internet down, every Brindola terminal and kitchen screen keeps sharing the same orders; on Poster, a register keeps its new orders to itself until the servers return.
- Brindola is one price per venue; Poster adds a fee for each extra register, kitchen screen, waiter phone and connected location.
- Your tickets, guests and payments stay on a device in your venue; Poster keeps them on its servers.
- Poster is ahead on food cost, loyalty and the QR menu, runs on an iPad, and is cheap to start with one tablet.

Why venues choose Brindola over Poster POS
The whole service runs without the internet
Terminals, kitchen screens, payments, the day's close and every report run on a device in your venue, over your own network. When the line drops, every screen still sees the same bill, for as long as the outage lasts.

Several brands from one kitchen
Each brand gets its own tab and catalog, one order can carry two brands, and revenue is reported by brand and by channel. On Poster, several concepts means several accounts.

One price for the venue
On Plus, up to eight devices are part of the price: terminals, kitchen screens, guest displays, waiter phones, a kiosk. No fee per screen and no share of what you sell.
Waiter phones and a kiosk included
Android phones and tablets join as an order screen at the table, a kitchen screen, a guest display or a self-service kiosk, with no extra licence.
Your data stays in your building
Tickets, guests, tenders and margins live in one file on hardware you own. Only the day's totals leave, and only to a backoffice you connect.
Delivery orders on the kitchen screen
Bolt Food and Glovo orders land beside the dining room's and close with the day, with nobody re-typing them. Wolt, Deliveroo and Uber Eats are coming soon.
Poster POS and Brindola, side by side
| Topic | Poster POS | Brindola |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A cloud POS: data goes to Poster's servers first, then to every register and the owner app. | A POS that runs on a device in your venue and serves every screen over your own network. |
| Without the internet | The register keeps taking orders and printing; other registers and the console see them only when the servers return. | Stronger here: Every terminal, kitchen screen, payment, the close and reports keep working together. |
| Where the data lives | On Poster's servers, with a copy cached on the register. | Stronger here: On the main device in your venue, in one file you can back up. Only the day's totals leave. |
| Price | Per account: $29, $49 or $69 a month ($26, $44, $62 billed annually); $19 per extra register, $7 per kitchen screen, $27 for three waiter phones. | Per venue, in your own currency: Essentials for one device, Plus for up to eight; a year costs ten months. |
| Catalog size | Up to 100 products and recipes on Mini, 300 on Business, 1 500 on Pro. | Stronger here: No product limit in any plan. |
| Hardware | Stronger here: iPad, Android tablets, Windows and Mac; one tablet can be the whole system. | A Windows, Linux or macOS computer as the main device; Android phones and tablets as further screens. No iPad. |
| Kitchen | Kitchen Kit on Android tablets, $7 a month per screen: courses, cooking times, a ready alert for the waiter. | Kitchen screens by station, courses, age timers and a pass view, with printers alongside. |
| Waiter phones | Mobile Waiter on iPhone and Android, from $9 a month per phone. | Android phones as order screens at the table, inside the venue's price. |
| Recipes and food cost | Stronger here: Recipes with prep losses, food cost updated on each delivery, manufacturing and butchery, minimum-stock alerts, in every plan. | Stock with lots and expiry, supplier orders, item margins, and dishes made in-house from their components. |
| Guests | Stronger here: Loyalty and promotions in every plan, a QR menu with feedback, table reservations on Pro. | Customer records, bookings that become orders, a self-service kiosk. No loyalty or QR menu. |
| Several brands | Separate accounts linked through Poster Connect. | Stronger here: Brand tabs and catalogs in one venue, reporting by brand and channel. |
| Chains | Stronger here: Poster Connect shares menu, prices, recipes, suppliers and guests across locations, $5 a month per account. | One subscription per venue under one account; Enterprise syncs to your own backoffice. |
