Brindola vs r_keeper

r_keeper or Brindola for a restaurant in Georgia

r_keeper is UCS's modular restaurant management system, built since 1992 and installed in Georgia by UCS Georgia in Tbilisi: cash, waiter and bar stations, kitchen screens, stock, loyalty and delivery, configured and quoted by the dealer. Brindola is a restaurant POS with a published price per venue that you install yourself on ordinary hardware, and that runs the whole service with the internet down.

In short

  • Brindola's price is published per venue, and you can run it for fourteen days before talking to anyone; r_keeper is quoted by its dealer.
  • It runs on an ordinary Windows or Linux computer, with Android phones and tablets as terminals; the whole venue lives in one file you can back up.
  • Brindola issues RS.ge tax invoices and waybills from the order, with a TIN look-up.
  • r_keeper is ahead on loyalty, stock across a chain and a local installer with three decades behind it.

Why venues choose Brindola over r_keeper

Ordinary hardware, no server room

One Windows or Linux computer runs the venue, and Android phones and tablets join it as terminals, order screens at the table or kitchen screens, each with a six-digit code.

The whole service runs without the internet

Orders, the kitchen screen, payments, the day's close and every report run on the device in your venue, for as long as the outage lasts.

A price you can read, and a trial you install yourself

Essentials is ₾89 and Plus ₾199 a month per venue, plus VAT, and a year costs ten months. The installer carries fourteen days of the full Plus plan, with no card and no account.

Tax invoices from the terminal

Look a company up by TIN, get its name and VAT status back, and issue the RS.ge tax invoice and waybill from the order's own lines. Neither r_keeper site describes this.

Your data in one file you can back up

Tickets, guests, payments and margins live in one file on hardware you own, with encrypted backups to a place you choose.

Several brands from one kitchen

Separate brand tabs and catalogs, revenue by brand and channel, and one order that can carry two brands.

What r_keeper has that Brindola doesn't

Three decades, and a local office since 2006
UCS has built r_keeper since 1992 and says more than 50,000 restaurants in 48 countries chose it. UCS Georgia, a Gold partner, has installed it in Tbilisi, Batumi and Akhaltsikhe.
Installed and trained for you
The dealer configures the system, installs it and trains your staff from its own training department.
Bar stations and a guest iPad menu
A bartender can take and settle an order without the cashier, and guests can order from an iPad at the table.
Loyalty and a guest CRM
R-Keeper CRM gives discounts or bonuses on a personal guest card, with promo codes for online orders.
Stock and purchasing across a chain
StoreHouse, recipe-based tracking, auto-purchase suggestions, supplier management and transfers between locations, with one Manager licence for the whole chain.
More platforms and its own online ordering
Eight delivery platforms named, plus online ordering from the venue's own site or a QR code, click and collect and a drive-through.
A module for almost everything
Banquets, cash management, video control of the cash zone, beer dispensing at the table, menu boards, remote web monitoring, and hotel, cinema and fitness systems from the same vendor.
A Daisy fiscal driver
r_keeper's release notes name a Daisy fiscal-printer driver for Georgia. Its sites do not describe it, so ask UCS Georgia what it covers.
